Hello everyone!
We have an in-person location for our next meeting!!! The meeting will take place outside and there will still be a video option for those who would prefer to meet virtually. The location, date, time and book will be announced soon! I hope to see a group of you all together from my side of the screen and hopefully will see some of you in person myself for the IES Awards :)
On a personal note, some of you might notice that these letters are getting more and more sporadic. I value everyone's time who is part of this community and who has opted in to receiving the Love Notes. You all know I have trouble with depression and had a recent down trend that made it very difficult for me to just sit and read or write. I'm lucky enough to have quick access to a healthcare provider and medication, as well as a company that supports me while transitioning to a different treatment method. Emails might not come out every week from me, and we may not be seeing each other as often as we'd like, but I value and get great comfort knowing that there is a community here and that you all support me too. So thank you.
The Weekly Three
1. Something about attention: "Care is a form of attention".
2. Something about Black joy: The Museum of Black Joy is curated by Andrea Walls who "just saw the power of shifting the lens, making a conscious decision to pay attention to the joy."

3. Something about answering "what do you do?": I expected this article to be more about moving away from "work as identity" and maybe towards Emma Ganonn's multi-hyphen method. It's actually about "pattern interrupt".
Thank you all for your time,
Amber
