• Something about Joe Rogan and modern male role models: The title of this article doesn’t do justice to the many facets of Joe Rogan that Devin Gordon identifies and analyzes. There is Rogan the podcast host whose success stems from “the patience and the generosity to let his interviews be an experience rather than an inquisition”. There is Rogan the privileged white male who wonders if in this modern day “the word masculinity has become, by definition, toxic” and who rarely invites women or people of color onto his podcast. Gordon gives us the reasons that Rogan is one of the most popular men in entertainment but also lists what is problematic about him and his content. I haven’t listened to Rogan myself but now I’m curious. Do any of you have an opinion on this that you’d like to share?

• Something about personal transitions: Another podcast! A little nugget from Jay Shetty’s interview with Liza Koshy: Periods of transitions may sometimes be difficult and uncomfortable but if you rush them, you could end up in the wrong place. You are unsettled and want to have stability again but if you jump on your first opportunity, it could not be what you really want. Don’t just take it! Remember what motivated you to start the transition in the first place.

• Something else built to resemble a hive: This one’s not in Jersey folks! Check out The Exchange, Japanese architect Kengo Kuma’s first project in Australia. How different an interpretation Kuma’s hive is from The Vessel.
