Hello BOSLadies! Happy Friday Eve!
For anyone who didn’t see last week’s email, we had a tie when voting for this month’s book. Please read whichever of the two books below that you desire. At next month’s meeting, we will have double the knowledge to share
Some fun things to round your week out with:
Did anyone attend Julie Brown’s recent professional development event? If not, take a look at her website and watch her video about having a “boast bitch”. Same idea as Mia Scharfe’s advice to have a wing woman but framed in a different way.
Constantly scrutinizing our built environment is a professional hazard in the design field (it may have gotten worse after reading The Design of Everything Things). Here are a few entertaining ways from author Rob Walker that motivate you to find new things a different way. Eat Somewhere Dubious is on my list for this weekend.
And, because we’re a book club, this NPR story about the park ranger who put a typewriter at a scenic overlook and invited hikers to write out a note.

Thanks,
Amber Poirier
