Hello Everyone,
I hope wherever you are you are enjoying beautiful spring weather today. I have been thinking a lot lately about gaps in my knowledge, and all the things I did not learn in school. The more you know the less you know certainly feels true in this situation, but I wanted to share a few things I have enjoyed lately.
Something to Listen to
Stuff the British Stole ! This is not a light listen, but I learned about a number of topics that certainly were not touched on the last time I took a history class.
Something to Watch
Kiss the Ground focuses on the positive impacts of regenerative farming. I found it a really hopefully documentary on the potential to minimize the impacts of climate change through thoughtful agriculture.
Something to Read
I was fascinated with the story of Janet Sobel. This article discuses her work, and its influence on the work Jackson Pollock. It was also interesting to rad the story of Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven, likely the creator of the Duchamp Fountain submitted to the Society of Independent Artists under the name R. Mutt.
Let me know if you end up watching, listening or reading any of these suggestions, I would love to hear what you think.
Thank you for taking the team to read the newsletter this week.
Alexandra
