Hello Everyone,
Starting off with some exciting news, our next book club meeting will be the evening of June 14th. This will be a reading potluck. There will be no set book, please bring a book, article, podcast, anything you are excited to talk about and share with the group. Stayed tuned for a zoom invite.
Something to Look at
This week I discovered the colorful work of Leah Rosenberg. Sometimes it just feels good to look at bright happy colors!
Something to Read
As summer approaches, often a time of hiring interns, I thought this article, Don’t Just Pay Interns, Help Them Build Networks, from the Harvard Business Review on providing support for interns raised a number of interesting points and was helpful as I was thinking about this topic.
Something to Listen to
I have recently been enjoying the Art Curious pod cast. Every time I listen to an episode I feel like I need to start a research project to find out more about the artists featured in the episode.
I am going to end with a couple local events.
We have a few people from our group participating in the IALD Lovers of Light Event on the Lawn on D. I am looking forward to seeing a few people in person for the first time in two years! Send me a note if you are attending, I would love to say hello.
Out local IES section is hosting Leela Shanker to speak on embodied carbon and the circular economy. I am very inspired by the work Leela is doing and think this will be a great session.
Thank you reading,
Alexandra
